These past two weeks have been out of the ordinary for commoner Summer New England weather. The continuous Heatwaves which have become far too much for certain healing plants. Chamomile, cannot take it – from what I have learned in these extreme experiences. Borage cannot either.. even in the shade.
So as a result, I imagine when Daniel and I relocate to New Zealand, the weather shall also be the same as these heatwaves are [New Zealand, is right underneath the Ozone Layer Hole]. This has also sparked an idea to help the Butterfly Forests Homestead, to not grow the commoner medicinal herbs. 🙂
*By taking this alternate path, competition will be less with other fellow Herbalists who have been in the region far longer than we have been or just starting. I will not have to worry about the competition and more than likely will be helping out the community of Medicinal Herbalists. Due, that whenever a customer from our CSA asks us where to find a commoner herb to purchase we can direct them to another local Medicinal Herbalist in the area. By helping the economy and other small businesses in the process; It’s also a great way to get yourself known in the community and make networking, in the beginning stages of developing our small business. 🙂
You help out someone, they are likely to return the favor as well. ❤ 🙂
